The third generation of the M-Klasse will be introduced this year during summer, with the official premiere taking place in September at Frankfurt. Approaching the unveiling moment, the test prototypes have lost a lot of the outer camouflage and are now revealing essential details of the exterior design. Created as an E-Klasse of SUVs, the new model to be assembled at the Tuscaloosa plant will borrow some of the styling seen on the Mercedes-Benz business limousine. Whereas the front fascia is only a mere evolution of the current one, the rear end has been altered pretty much and it looks to be inspired by the E-Klasse, seeing the tail lamps and the trunk lines on the "naked" prototype pictured above. Moreover, the size of the new ML will remain the same as nowadays, but the German carmaker claims the interior features a new architecture, which makes it more spacious and versatile than the W 164 model.
