Alongside the redesigned LR4 and updated Range Rover comes a new Range Rover Sport for the 2010 model year. On display at the New York Auto Show, the Range Rover Sport receives two new engine options and a number of exterior and interior refinements.

But the most significant changes on the 2010 Range Rover Sport are to its powertrains. The vehicle can be ordered with either a 510 horsepower LR-V8 5.0-liter supercharged mill, or a 375 hp LR-V8 5.0 liter naturally aspirated engine. The new naturally aspirated vehicle can hit 60 mph in 7.2 seconds, while the supercharged variant takes just 5.9 seconds. Both LR-V8 engines are mated to the ZF HP28 six-speed automatic transmission.

The power crazy tuners from Motoren Technik Mayer have released their latest upgrade - the MTM Audi R8. The MTM Audi R8, apart from the Porsche GT3 green paintjob, is powered by a 4.2 liter engine that has been tuned to output 560 hp (418 kW) and 580 Nm of torque. The standard Audi R8 develops 420 hp and 430 Nm. The extra juice of the MTM Audi R8 comes thanks to the tuners compressor technology. If 520 hp is not enough for you, the MTM Audi R8 can also be ordered with 560 hp (418 kW) that come from an upgraded ECU.

The green paint is not enough to make the MTM Audi R8 unique, MTM Audi R8 also comes with an extensive aerodynamics package which includes carbon fiber front splitter, new side skirts and a green varnished carbon fiber rear diffuser. The MTM Audi R8 also comes with 20" Bimoto light alloy wheels and re-engineered side-blades.

The 2010 Mercedes-Benz ML450 Hybrid is the German automaker's first production gas-electric hybrid, with a dual-mode system that matches exceptional power and torque with relatively good fuel economy. The hybrid crossover debuts at the 2009 New York Auto Show.

In this particular application, Mercedes-Benz mates a gasoline engine a specially designed 3.5-liter Atkinson-cycle V6 with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), twin electric motors, four clutches and the company's 4Matic all-wheel drive. The combination delivers 335 horsepower and 381 pound-feet of torque, while returning 21 mpg in city driving and 24 mpg on the highway. Zero-to-60 acceleration takes 7.8 seconds, and top speed is just over 130 mph.

BMW has released the details and images of the new BMW X5 Security Plus which meets the requirements of the Class 6 resistance level. We're not very familiar with these resistance classes, but we do know what an AK47 is and apparently the new BMW X5 Security Plus can withstand an attack with this weapon. The BMW X5 Security Plus features a new chassis that offers good driving characteristics on both road and off-road.

The BMW X5 Security Plus features a serious armor which includes high-performance steel moldings and panels, a dense joint protection, safety glazing, braking discs with polycarbonate coating and splinter protection. The BMW X5 Security Plus offers protection against robbery, kidnapping or Carjacking and can also be used in danger zones where the bad guys use AK 47s.

Aside from the new 5.0 V8, the 2010 Range Rover displayed at the New York Auto Show gets new LED lights an a 12-inch wide virtual gauge cluster - the largest Thin Film Transistor screen in any vehicle, ever.
